Premananda Youth Raise Unnecessary Expectations

The activities of the Premananda Youth deserve some special mention. The day before the Shivaratri event they marauded on the streets of Tooting to bring attention to their jailbird guru's cause by threatening the British public with.. having their car windscreens cleaned.

Yep, if you didn't get that the first time, the Youth glorify their rapist leader by cleaning Britain's dirty windscreens.

In their own words:

Operation CLEAR VISION / Justice for Premananda (on Saturday afternoon)

* We go to Tooting, a Tamil area of London and clean windows of cars to clear the people’s vision... At the same time we distribute pamphlets with explanation about Swamiji and explain about Justice for Premananda to clear their vision on Swamiji’s situation.

* We sing bhajans in the street to get people’s attention. They will be surprised that Europeans are singing Bhajans in a Tamil area. We can distribute the same pamphlets and invite everyone to the Shivaratri programme on the next day.

* We all wear a fabric armband with ‘Justice for Premananda’ on it.

I don't even know where to start. It's not enough to celebrate the night of Shiva with lectures from "distinguished guests", not to mention the all-auspicious presence of Prema's Pink Lingam, not to mention the presence of Mr. Invisible himself, but you spend the day before washing car windscreens and copying the Hare Krishnas. Singing songs in a public area and wearing the same piece of clothing, why not go the whole hog by having their heads shaved and go out selling books? If you want a book or their JFP pamphlets, no fear, you may just get your windscreen cleaned for free.

But yes, there is more!

The organisation of this Public Relations project will bring about substantial costs. If you are unable to come to the weekend, but if you want to support, your donation is strongly welcomed:

IBAN BE52 7775 9314 8309
to ‘Premananda Youth Belgium’
Address of the bank: Dexia, Ieperstraat, 8970 Poperinge - BELGIUM
With mention ‘donation Shivaratri London’

Yes, even if you're unable to attend this event, you're "strongly welcomed" to dig into your pockets to alleviate your consciences and break free of the guilt trip. It makes you wonder, where does all this money go anyway?

you are way behind in the evolutionary state of human consiousness, and that is why you have not experienced the thing. But don't you worry, everybody's time comes and till then you can make as much merry as you want.

Thank you for your rather insulting comment. I expect you know of such things as evolution and consciousness, and are also highly qualified to determine other people's states of consciouness? I presume so.. that must be one snazzy mini-fMRI scanner you have there..

Excuse me, i don't know very much about Swami Premananda, but why do you call him a rapist, on wich fact's are you basing this accusation?

Hi Naomi,

you might like to take a look at the associate article we have on Premananda. The claims of rape and murder have led to his life imprisonment. Hope that helps.

I suggest that anyone interested in the truth about Swami Premananda looks at the book entitled 'The DNA Detectives' by top genetics expert Wilson J Wall, in which he quite clearly states that there is not the slightest possibility of Swami being guilty of this rape. Wilson J Wall is evidently a scientist of great personal integrity who is well respected in his field of work and who has no axe to grind. He is not, as far as I know, a devotee of Swami's, and he takes great care to follow correct scientific procedures. He states in the book that the first DNA test, the one upon which Swami's conviction wa
s based, was conducted at Hyderabad university, not by a forensic scientist but by a mere technician. He states that the test 'lacked 'any probity of any sort'. Mr Wall then took the samples of DNA to the UK and there used scientifically validated techniques in a Home Office approved forensic lab, whch yielded the results 'in direct contradiction of the conclusions of the Indian scientist. This was not a disagreement on a small point of interpretation but a massive gulf'. The Indian court subsequently chose to ignore Mr Wall's findings. I rest my case. Rapist? You must be having a laugh!
